XypherChat Overview

NOTE: XypherChat is currently undergoing a complete overhaul. I was going to release it as is, but it was just too slow and the code was a nightmare. Stay tuned for the alpha in a few weeks.-- 25 Sep 2003

XypherChat is a cryptographically secure peer-to-peer (P2P) instant messaging client. It is designed to provide protection from unauthorized message eavesdropping and modification. It makes use of sophisticated and proven algorithms such as Rijndael, Blowfish, and SHA.

Please note that any screenshots and documentation you read apply to the pre-alpha version of XypherChat, which has not been fully released to the public yet. If you want, you can check out our CVS repository by following the directions below.

XypherChat Development Status:

We are currently in the design/pre-alpha stage. This means that code has just started to be written.

To check out our latest CVS status, execute the following commands on a UNIX based machine:
